The Lake Capote campground has the following amenities:

  • 10 RV sites, each RV site is equipped with: 30 amp electric, potable water connection, fire-ring, and picnic table
  • 30 “primitive” camping sites (each site is equipped with tent site, fire ring, and picnic table)
  • Bathhouse including public toilets, sinks, and showers (unlimited hot water is part of your permit purchase!!)
  • Potable water is accessible throughout the campground
  • Centrally located “dump” station for RV grey/black water
  • Centrally located potable water fill station for RVs
  • Spacious and well shaded sites (RVs and Campers)

Campground Rules

  1. Visitors must check in at Bait Shop or purchase a permit from the self-permitting-station (front of Bait Shop)
  2. No alcohol or illegal drug use is allowed. (The Southern Ute Indian reservation is a “dry” reservation)
  3. No firearms or hunting are allowed within the facilitys’ boundaries (marked)
  4. No vehicles are allowed off-road
  5. Fires are only allowed in established fire pits
  6. Pets MUST be on a leash
  7. Quiet Hours:  9 pm to 9 am
  8. Only 2 vehicles are allowed per permit and camping site
